(born 1978) received M.Sc. degree from Poznan University of Technology in 2003.
At present he is an assistant at Chair of Multimedia Telecommunications and Microelectronics.

He has been taking part in several industry-oriented projects: iTVP research and implementation for Polish Television S.A. on interactive television, MPEG-4 AAC HE audio decoder DSP implementation and H.264/AVC video codec hardware development (FPGA).
Furthermore, he is a co-author of papers on digital audio and video compression.

His professional interests concentrate on:
  • speech and sound processing;
  • audio and video compression algorithms, implementation and optimalization;
  • server administration (he is in charge of managing the servers in the Chair of Multimedia Telecommunications and Microelectronics).
Currently, he is involved in a research project "New parametric techniques for coding of wideband audio at very low bit rates".

Privately he is interested in learning programming languages as well as Windows and GNU/Linux programming. He spends his free time on mountain excursion, bike trips or playing the guitar.
