(born 1968) received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Poznan University of Technology in 1992, and 1997 respectively. He is an Assistant Professor at Poznan University of Technology. In 1999 he received Award of the Minister of the National Education for the co-operation in the image compression researches. In the years 1998 - 1999 he was awarded Foreign Fellowship for Young Ph.D./D.Sc. Recipients by the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) and in 1996-1997 - Grant for Young Scholars by the Foundation for Polish Science.
